Two of the six 6x6 columns are in place. These columns will support the second floor roof when it rolls off. I do not know of anyone else that has designed and built a second story roll off roof. Regardless, it wasn't easy. I had my son-in-law help me

At this point all six columns are in place and bolted to the slab. We have also lifted the 6x6x10'long cross pieces into place. Let me tell you this was a scary task standing on rickety scaffolding 12' up and hoisting a 150 lb beam into place.

Sometimes, with all of the lumber involved, the construction got a little complicated. Notice all of the plastic spread over the second floor in a vain attempt to keep things dry. A losing battle.
